  The assignment for this project was to create a mailing brochure that explored a social issue. I decided to create a brochure for the Compton Community Organic Garden. Compton is known as a food desert due to its lack of sufficient fresh food sources. The CCOG is attempting to turn that around by providing locals an opportunity to grow their own fresh vegetables in a lot that has been converted into an oasis with planter boxes and experts on site. The front cover unfolds to the definition of a food desert and the CCOG's mission statement on the opposing page. Opening the brochure all the way shows more information on the garden, and how those interested can get involved.
